What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Scheme (NDIS), provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

The NDIS also connects anyone with disability to NDIS providers and services in their community. This includes assistance during medical appointments, accessing community, community groups, sporting clubs, libraries, and schools, as well as providing information about what support is provided by each state and territory government.

How to Find Out if You’re Eligible for NDIS Funding

If you answer yes to the majority of these questions you may be eligible to access NDIS funding.

Aged between 7 and 65

An Australian citizen or permanent resident

Require special equipment to function on a daily basis

Require temporary or permanent support in the futire

How To Apply For NDIS Support

To apply for NDIS, first visit their website and complete an eligibility check. Short checklist will need to be completed and assessed for eligibility by a NDIS representative.

If eligible, you will receive an Access Decision Letter from the NDIS and be contacted by an NDIS representative to create your plan.
