Living well together
In Supported Independent Living, who you live with matters as much as where you live. The right group shares more than a house. They share interests, routines and a laugh.
A shared love of footy can turn into a night at the game, a kick at the local park and plenty to talk about over pizza night at home.

What's the difference between SIL and SDA?
SIL (Supported Independent Living) is NDIS funding for support: the staff who help you with daily tasks such as personal care, cooking, cleaning and getting out in the community.
SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) is NDIS funding for the housing itself: a purpose-built home designed for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. Many participants in our homes have both SIL and SDA funding.
How much does SIL and SDA accommodation cost?
SIL supports and SDA housing are paid from the participant's NDIS plan. Residents usually also pay a Reasonable Rent Contribution (generally 25% of the Disability Support Pension base rate, plus any Commonwealth Rent Assistance received) and share everyday household costs such as food and utilities.
The exact amount depends on the participant's plan, the SDA design category and their support needs. Call our team on 1800 373 266 or email tl@dreammakercs.com.au for a breakdown based on your circumstances.
Am I eligible for SIL or SDA?
You need SIL funding, SDA funding, or both, approved in your NDIS plan. SIL is generally for participants who need help with daily tasks throughout the day. SDA is for participants with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.
Your support coordinator or NDIA planner can confirm what is in your plan, and we can talk you through next steps.
How long does it take to move into one of your homes?
Once SIL and/or SDA funding is approved and we confirm the home is a good match, we can usually move quickly. Timing depends on the participant's plan, current vacancies and transition needs.
We work directly with support coordinators and give you a clear timeframe after the first call.
